Britney Spears Video

As a practice we attempted to re-produce the first part of the video Hit Me Baby One More Time by Britney Spears. To do this we split into groups of three and had to shoot and edit roughly eight shots each.

During this time I learnt a lot about time keeping as we underestimated the amount of time each shot would take. This was partly due to accessing cameras but also the amount of time it took to get ready and find a spot to film. The video was unfortunately not completed but now I have a better idea of how much time to perdict each shot will take. We also found out about lighting and how you would usually need artificial lighting or bright sunlight.

We realised that for our actual video much more planning is required, with details of shot sizes, lengths, camera movement, lyrics and so on. I feel that with plenty of planning we will be able to make a successful video. The task also got us used to using the cameras and editing software. We will shoot our actual video on blank tape so that it is easier to upload.

I think that we now know what to expect from the actual video allowing us to prepare a lot better in order to create a good music video.
