Evaluation - What have you learned from your audience feedback?

Untitled from Poppy Hale on Vimeo.

This was a very important part of making the video as we need to ensure that we have targetted the right audience and created an understandable and meaningful product to an unbiased viewer. To gain these responses we had a mixed audience come in at lunchtime, when the majority of people where free, and we played the final version of the video to around 20 viewers. It was played on a projector screen in order to ensure that everyone could see the screen clearly enabling them to make a clear judgement on the piece.

In order to gain views of the video and to find out specific points we designed this questionairre for the viewers to complete:

This was a very good way of getting many people's views as we could ask every person in the room the same questions, allowing us to pick out maybe the results that were less common in comarison to the results on a whole.

From the response we can see that the video was very well recieved and more importantly recieved as we intended it to be. By this I mean that, for example, we asked who the viewers thought the target audience would be and every single answer included the words female and young or teenage which is the exact audience that we was targetting.
